About My Project:

I stitched this pretty Sublime Stitching pattern from the Craft Pad onto my pillowcase in conjunction with a school project in my class "Transnational Latina Feminisms". The quote reads in Spanish, "Dadme la muerte que me falta," meaning "give me the death I'm missing." They are the words of Mexican poet Rosario Castellanos. Perhaps at first read it seems morbid, but it's actually meant to be a reminder that all things in life are cyclic, life/death/rebirth. We need death to generate new life. :
