"Black Lives Matter" by Gingy Loves Cupcakes - PDF Embroidery Pattern
100% of sales of this pattern go to BCDI Detroit (Black Child Development Institute).
This pattern was designed by Gingy Loves Cupcakes, a baker, maker, and supporter of Sublime Stitching. She offered the design to me for free to distribute in the weeks following the murder of George Floyd and the surge of BLM protests.
Instead of distributing the design for free, it is for sale here to benefit BCDI Detroit, and she was paid an artist's fee (Sublime Stitching pays all artists) which she donated toward her own charity: "Cupcakes for Christmas". In addition to accepting donations via her GoFundMe page, she holds a bake sale in the summer to raise funds to purchase *new-in-box toys to distribute to children who are cancer patients at Stanford's Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Christmas time.
*Children in cancer wards cannot be given pre-used or removed-from-box toys due to health and safety standards.
This pattern was released on July 23, 2020, and as of September 9, 2020, has raised over $2,000.00 for NBCDI
