My Embroidery Aid Kit is for those in extreme emotional and financial need. The retail value of this kit is over $24.00. I am offering it below my costs, and shipping it for FREE. I do not make a profit from the sale of this kit. I am not asking for proof of your hardship, your purchase is on the honor system. You may purchase this kit for yourself, or have it sent to a friend in need.  

Why are you offering this Embroidery Aid Kit?
Not everyone has a home they love. Not everyone finds peace in being by themselves. For many, being alone has the opposite effect of calming. Not everyone is choosing to be or not be at home right now. This has been weighing on me: those who are suffering under these circumstances, and have never tried embroidery as a solution for anxiety. 

This is personal to me, because I was that person. I didn't know embroidery held such intensely calming, anxiety-reducing powers until I first tried it in the summer of 2000. I always thought it required patience. I didn't understand that it instilled calm. That's the entire reason I started Sublime Stitching: to get people into embroidery for the healing it can bring. 

Shortly after the orders of stay-at-home due to COVID-19, I sent out a newsletter expressing my concern for those: 

• facing financial hardship who can't afford to purchase craft supplies
• who have never (or long-ago gave up) trying embroidery
• who are in a living situation they are struggling with
• dealing with an incredibly stressful and ever-shifting work situation

The hope that comes with this kit is for you or a friend to find peace and comfort (and hey, fun!) through embroidery. 

What do you consider a financial "hardship"?
The hardship may be a Covid19-related job loss or drastic income reduction, but it may also be a continuing financial, domestic or health problem that existed before Covid-19 and will likely continue after. 

Short answer: If you don't have to think twice about spending $5 on yourself now and then- this kit is not for you. If you are able to purchase my products at retail pricing, please consider supporting my efforts by instead shopping with me here.

Can I get this kit for someone else?
Yes. Even though you may not be experiencing a hardship yourself, you may know someone who is, and spending more than $20 on a gift for them isn't something you would typically do. If you are purchasing this kit for another person and would like it shipped directly to them, be sure to provide their shipping address at checkout instead of yours. Apologies, I am unable to split individual orders to ship to more than one address, and I am unable to designate someone in need for you.

After my newsletter went out, many people came forward wanting to make financial contributions, which surprised me. Some simply started sending money (!), and I found it necessary to create a way to accept these contributions. If you wish to make a contribution to funding the Embroidery Aid Kit (to help pay for the inventory, packaging and shipping costs), I have information on how you can contribute here. I'm sorry, but I am not accepting donations of supplies to re-distribute as I am unable to coordinate such efforts. Similarly, I am unable to designate someone in need for you ie: "If I buy a kit, will you just send it to someone in need?"
