Hobotopia - New Patterns!
I am absolutely giddy over having Adam Koford (aka Apelad) in the Sublime Stitching Artist Series! Hobotopia features the exploits of one Meowlin Q. Kitteh a sort of "cat hobo-raconteur" and his young hapless kitten friend, Pip.
Think Sunday cartoons from the 30's (you know -Little Nemo, Krazy Kat, Gasoline Alley). Are you with me? Add cute kittehs. Now, make them hobos. Mkay...have those kittehs all talk in 21st-century LOL speak. It's too much goodness!
It's so much more than just puns, though. Hobotopia is unwaveringly sweet, clever and well, I always feel better after I've read it.
Serious, bowing-in-humble-respect props to Mr. Koford. He is a cartoonist of the 21st-century whose deft hand is on par with greats like Winsor McCay or George Herriman. I am a big, sloppy fan and I am so grateful for his generously-lent talents.
