Gold Dragon Scissors
These scissors were my first truly guilty purchase as an embroiderer. By that I mean (you know what I mean): I didn't need them, and I wasn't even sure I could justify their use. But..bbut...but...pretty. So, pretty! Want pangs!
But, I didn't want to just dress up my sewing room with useless, pretty tools (okay, yes I did). Must think. I was traveling at the time, and they were there in front of me, at that moment. How would I use them? Are those peacocks and dragons on the handles? I was miles from home and this would be a nice pick-me-up. A treat. So, I bought them. My guilt abated as I used them at home, now having relied on this pair of scissors ever since. I kept an eye out for more over the years and finally found them.
