Sublime Stitchalong! -updated
Share
Last night, totally on a whim, I decided to do a stitchalong via instagram and twitter. Did you miss it? Of course you did! That's because you had zero advance warning. It was Sunday evening, I got a wild hair to just stitch up the new free pattern, and thought "why not post my progress to instagram?". Seeing as how I post a photo to instagram every other five minutes anyway...It was an experiment of sorts. I liked it. You liked it. We all liked it!
Want to be sure not to miss the next one? Want to know how it works? Easy. Super informal. No pressure. The next time I do a Sublime Stitchalong, I'll announce in advance via twitter, the facebook page and ye olde fashioned Sublime Stitching blog. I'll let you know what pattern I'm doing, what time I'll start, and what hashtag to use for the project. You can ask me questions, I'll tell you what stitches I'm using, and you can share your own progress with everyone participating.
Don't have an iPhone? No problem! You can follow all the images I post to instagram online via statigram, and updates will tweeted.
If you want to see all the photos from last night's stitchalong, here they are!

But wait! It's not really finished. This pattern was designed as a frame, and it still needs something in the middle of it. To be continued...
➳ UPDATE 5/24/12
Me and my big mouth. "What should I stitch in the middle? Hmmm?" Of course: a satin stitched monogram has been the top suggestion. Gosh, that couldn't have anything to do with the satin-stitch tutorial I just posted along with that immaculate example, could it? Who am I but your stitching fool anyway?
Gulp. Okay -here goes:
See? It's hard for me, too! To be continued...Meanwhile, post your own progress on this pattern to instagram with #sublimestitchalong
