Quiltcon West 2016 -phew!
Share
Here we were! Me and Robert Mahar all fresh-faced and ready for four days of nonstop Quiltcon West! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came to see us! By the end of the show, we were mere shadows of our former selves (in a good way). It's taken over a week for me to recover, unpack, sift through it all and get back to normal affairs. But oh my...the QUILTS!
Two of my favorites. The quilt on the left was pieced by Nydia Kehnle and quilted by Gina Pina. The quilt on the right was featured in the Hoffman Fabrics booth to showcase their beautiful batiks and solids. It was pieced and quilted by Jenn Rossotti.
The lovely Anna Maria Horner of Craft South was there (in an awesome, embroidered top)! I'll be teaching a weekend of embroidery at Craft South this fall -but you early birds can sign up here now.
It was also great fun to be next door to my good friends French General! Whaat?
Kaari and Molly Meng are the best when you need a pick-me-up. Molly is also partners with Robert
via Meng & Mahar Studio, where you can take small-group craft workshops in their uh-dorable studio in downtown LA!
This was also one of my favorites: "Pine Burr Quilt" by Tara Fauhgnan.
Too much more to report! It was a bustling, exciting and fun show. Thank you again to everyone who came to see us, and maybe we'll see you at the next Quiltcon! xo
