FAQs after placing your order...
COVID-19 UPDATE
Sublime Stitching is currently a one-person operation (hi there) so no employees have been let go, or are being asked to come to work. Orders ARE SHIPPING, but taking longer than usual under the circumstances. Your patience is appreciated.
Also, USPS carriers are overwhelmed and pickups are not always happening daily. Additionally, the USPS tracking system is not consistently updating to reflect that your package has been handed off to them (please read more about that below). Your order may take longer than usual to arrive. Your patience and understanding that I have no control over delays by the USPS is appreciated.
When will my order ship?
Under normal circumstances, orders ship M-F within 1-3 business days (currently taking a few days longer) from Los Angeles via USPS 1st Class or Priority Mail, depending on weight or size. You will receive a shipping confirmation via email when your order is packed and ready to be picked up by my carrier. Keep an eye on your junk or spam folder in case this shipping notification goes there! During sales or new product releases, there may be a higher volume of orders and shipping may take a few days longer.
Will I get a USPS tracking number?
All orders that ship via USPS First Class Parcel or USPS Priority Mail will include a tracking number with your shipping confirmation. If you ordered only small, flat items like patterns or carbon transfer papers, your order will ship via First Class USPS Letter or Flat Rate, which does not include tracking info from the USPS. You will still receive an email letting you know when your order has shipped. It may appear that your order is "awaiting fulfillment" but in fact, your order is on its way!
My USPS tracking number says "Label Created Not Yet In System" or
"Pre-transit Awaiting Label" and "USPS awaiting item" when I check it.
Short answer: If you've received an email shipping confirmation from me, your shipment is with the USPS, even if their tracking system says "USPS awaiting item". If you are seeing this within 24-48 hours of receiving your shipping confirmation, it means that your order is packed and waiting to be picked up by my carrier. If you are seeing this more than 48 hours after receiving your shipping confirmation, it means your order has been picked up by the USPS, but not yet entered into the tracking system. The tracking number will be activated once the carrier scans your package. Even after the USPS scans your package, it may take up to 24-48 hours to be updated in the USPS tracking system (or not at all if you ordered only flat items) even though your package has been picked up, scanned and is already on its way to you. Currently, many packages are not updating in their tracking system until they reach the destination post office, or until the day they are out for delivery, which is sometimes taking the USPS 1-2 weeks.
• PLEASE DO THIS • The USPS has an option to receive updates via Text / Email on the same page as your tracking info, and I strongly suggest you sign up for those updates. Not just because you'll receive their notifications, but because it seems to cause their system to locate packages that have stalled and get them moving along. I don't know why, but I can say from experience that doing this actually works.
Can I add something to the order I just placed?
Yes! If you would like to order additional items please do so via my website as a new order. I cannot charge your card for additional items on my end (I don't have access to any credit card information). Any additional items will need to be ordered and paid for via the cart on my website. Then, please email me if you place an additional order and provide me with the order numbers. When possible, multiple orders will be combined into one shipment and I'll refund the postage difference when applicable. Please understand, this is not always possible, as the first order may have already been packed and shipped the same day it was received.
If you still have any questions or concerns about the status of your order, don't hesitate to email me!
