Ex Libris: Stitchery Books -Rare Ones
Here are a few things I've culled from my library, and put together as a bundle for you. (Items not sold individually). Nearly all publications listed are out-of-print titles or one-time periodicals.
The Complete Guide to Embroidery Stitches and Crewel by Jo Bucher (autographed copy!) 1971
Step-by-Step Stitchery by Shirley Sayles 1976
Stitchery by the editors of Sunset Books, 1973 (this is personal favorite of mine. One I'm not sure why I'm letting go. Hm. I was wondering where it came from and then I found a 2005 receipt from a Salvation Army in Conway, Arkansas. I was visiting my grandparents and picked this up! It's a good one.)
Please note: these materials represent a whites-only lifestyle and include racist and anti-black imagery. It is impossible for me to review all issues, so this statement of warning applies to all of them.
Prices include *domestic shipping*. International customers, you will be contacted following your purchase for payment of the international shipping charge. Shipments to Canada expect an additional $24.95 (I'm sorry it's so expensive!) There are no returns, refunds, or exchanges for this listing. All items from my Private Collection are sold strictly as-is and are final sale. They will be packaged with care, but please note some textiles will ship folded. Please open immediately on receipt. Light ironing may be necessary. These come from a smoke-free environment.
I absolutely love all three books I received from Jenny’s private stash of embroidery goodies. I was lucky someone else decided to pass on them because they are definitely the perfect addition to my crafting library! One even still had the original purchase receipt in the book as a bookmark! Bonus!
