This pillow sham (it's open at each end) is pretty yellowed, but the embroidered roses are so well done the back almost mirrors the front. They are hand done. I have never come across a piece that looks quite like this, the way it's stitched, the combination of variegated floss and techniques...really lovely. Equally well-embroidered, is the set of six cocktail napkins? Handkerchiefs? Either will do!
